Do you have the ability to show times to clients in their local timezone? If this isn’t currently available, do you have plans to include it in an upcoming update? I just added Birchpress to a client site who takes phone appointments for people all across the world. I converted them from TimeTrade to Birchpress Pro. TimeTrade automatically adjusts to local time and now there is a lot of confusion on the part of the clients using Birchpress.

No, showing times to clients in their local timezone is not supported. And according to our development plan, we will not support it in the near future.
April 29, 2015 at 11:14 am #14036Hi Jennifer,
I’ve been searching all over the place for a booking/appointment manager that handles timezones. I understand it may be complicated to implement (otherwise you or another booking manager would have implemented it by now).
I saw there are several posts here already asking for this, and I just wanted to voice my own desire for this feature. Hopefully if enough of us ask for it it may get higher on your priority list!
It is really the only thing holding me back from purchasing one of your packages, although I may well have to settle for it and point clients towards a javascript timezone converter. That would not look too professional though.
Kind regards,

Based on the current architecture, it is hard to implement this feature. We will not be able to implement in the near future. But I think we will work on it in the future.

My client Compassionate Sleep Solutions wanted a scheduling solution that would integrate into Woocommerce. My client does business all over the world. I looked at everything on the market and Birchpress met all of the requirements except automatic time zone adjustment. We were converting from TimeTrade which does adjust for time zones.
The installation is several months along and we are getting about 10-15% of clients who can’t seem to understand the time zone issue. We have added numerous messages in an attempt to get buyers to know that we are in the Mountain time zone, but there is a number of people who just don’t get it.
Our sales are up significantly and my client is very happy with the ability to add a variety of products to the cart. With the one exception of ongoing time zone issues, we are big fans of Birchpress!

April 29, 2015 at 11:18 pm #14053Hi Joel,
Thanks for the added input! It does seem that birchpress meets all my other requirements. I’m thinking of maybe tweaking it a bit and adding some of my own jQuery.
The idea I had was that whenever a click on a time element has been detected, insert a little form just above birchpress’ name/email input fields warning the client the timezone on the site is UTC. The script would add a selection box for the client to select his own timezone city (IE: London/UTC+1) and just below that show him what the selected time is in his local timezone.
Does that make any sens? I’ll share the code if you want, I’ll implement some time next week.
Also birchpress may consider adding this feature themselves as it’s at least a “hackish” fix to the timezone issue.

That sounds like an elegant solution! I would be very interested in implementing your solution and seeing how our customers do at using it!
Thanks
JoelMay 26, 2016 at 9:31 am #22170After reading through this, really curious if you (Alex) were able to get a functioning solution using the script? Or anyone else?
